How It Works

1. The omnidirectional antenna mounts to the ladder or a short mast and receives signal from whatever direction the nearest tower happens to be in
2. An amplifier inside the RV boosts that signal, up to the FCC maximum for a mobile booster that handles every carrier at once
3. Inside, a whip antenna broadcasts what comes out of the amplifier through the whole RV

The boost works in both directions, so what goes from your phone out to the tower gets the same treatment, which is how a call stays up at a campground a town away from anything.

Some sites have nothing at all coming in, and no booster can amplify what isn't there.
