How It Works

1. The tall antenna mounted on your cab receives your carrier's signal from a height no phone inside the truck can match
2. An amplifier in the cab boosts that signal, up to the legal limit the FCC sets for mobile boosters that serve every carrier at once
3. An inside patch antenna broadcasts the boosted signal across the seats and the bunk

Your phone's own signal travels the other way, out through the amplifier and the cab antenna toward the tower. That outbound direction usually gives out first when the towers are far apart, and carrying your signal that far is what this system was built for.
